Wells, bubbling tensions between Katzenberg and CEO Michael Eisner came to a head, forcing Katzenberg to unceremoniously step down, now taking control of animation at DreamWorks Katzenberg immediately got to work on revolutionary new features for the division. was not only made up of former Disney animators rallied over by Katzenberg but the entire team from Spielberg’s emblemation, which was fully absorbed into the company as such, saying on board as an uncredited executive producer but stepping down from creative duties, Spielberg transferred production of Shrek to DreamWorks, with Katzenberg showing a keen interest in the project.
Finding it to have irreverence, humor, and A wonderful heart visual development got underway way quickly, and early designs of the character show a much different track than the one we would ultimately get.
